To participate in tryouts, the boys need to have their teacher add them to the sign up sheet, have a valid sports physical, concussion form, and insurance form turned in. If your child has been through the tryout process for another sport this school year, they should already have these forms on file. If you are unsure, please contact the school office prior to tryouts.

Dear Central students and parents,
My name is Mrs. Keisha Sanders and I am the director of Friendly City Sound, the choir at Central Intermediate School! Our choir is an auditioned group of fifth and sixth graders who spend the year learning how to sing in two or three part harmony and perform together in a number of concerts. FCS (Friendly City Sound) practices every Tuesday from 2:20-3:20 in the Central music room.
Auditions will be Saturday, September 7 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. in the Central music room. (These are on a first come, first serve basis.) Please enter through door 9 when you arrive at Central. Students will be asked to fill out a short audition form and will wait until their name is called. Once their name is called, they will audition by singing "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" (sheet music provided) and will do a few short warm-ups in front of me. If chosen, the student will be notified via the mail and will be provided with FCS performance dates, practice schedules, and rehearsal procedures.
I hope to see many Central students at auditions! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at: ksanders@oes141.org
I look forward to a fun, exciting year of FCS!
Keisha Sanders

In order for your child to participate in tryouts for any of our sports at OES, they must have a current sports physical, a concussion form, and insurance form completed prior to the first day of tryouts. These forms can be found on the school website under documents, and then athletics. This paperwork, along with their sports physical, can be dropped off at the District Office at 320 W. Main St. between the hours of 7:30 and 1:30. Information regarding the dates for our fall sports is on the school website.
5th and 6th grade students can tryout for cross country. 5th and 6th grade girls can tryout for girls' basketball, and 6th grade students can tryout for soccer.

Central School's office is closed for July. We will be back in the office starting August 1st.

That is a wrap on the 2023-2024 school year! Congratulations to Mrs. Loy, Mrs. Terry, and Mrs. Moore on your retirement! You will be missed at Central! From our entire staff, we hope everyone has a wonderful summer!
