We hope everyone's week is off to a FANTASTIC start! Safe to say, our Jefferson students have absolutely rocked it, since returning back to school from Winter Break. With that being said, we wanted to give a PAWSOME shout out to December's Champions of the Charter. The following emotional scientists did an outstanding job following their classroom charters this past month by letting their BEST SELF shine bright! They have shown empathy, perseverance, kindness, and compassion, by not only helping themselves, but their classmates too! We are all feeling in the YELLOW and so PROUD of you!

Recently, fourth grade had the opportunity to participate in programs from Ameren and the LaSalle County Soil and Water Conservation District. Thank you to both presenters! Students had fun and learned a lot!

We hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start! With that being said, it is time to announce November's Champions of the Charter. The following students were recognized for demonstrating exceptional emotional intelligence throughout the month of November through empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation . These kiddos definitely let their BEST SELF shine bright by helping to create a positive classroom environment where all emotions are valued, and everyone feels understood, supported, and cared for.

Just a reminder that today, we have an 11:30 dismissal and this is the start of Thanksgiving break. There is no school all next week (Nov. 25-29). There is Parent/Teacher conferences on Monday, November 25th from 11:00-6:15. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving break and see you on Monday, December 2nd.
3rd grade has been having a lot of fun! Students chose a book to read for the month of October, wrote a report to summarize the book, and turned a pumpkin into a character from that book. 🎃📖
Also, we studied the election and participated in a mock vote! 🗳️🇺🇸
