We are glad to be back in school. In Social Studies we are studying where we are on the map. We have learned our city, state, country, continent, and planet. The unit is wrapping up by making salt dough maps of the United States. Students labeled our neighbors to the north and south of us. They learned and labeled the names of the oceans on our east and west coast and the Gulf of Mexico. The final touch will be to paint their physical maps. They really enjoyed this project.
