Room 3 spent January celebrating the new year and exploring all things winter! We dove into our penguin unit by exploring ice and snow, got comfortable with e-learning, and worked hard to get back into routine after a long break. Next month, we are looking forward to celebrating Valentine's Day and starting our friendship unit.
January has been busy and fun! month. It was fitting with the cold to start a penguin unit, where we learned about the penguin life cycle, parts of a penguin, where they live and what they eat. Most of our class said they don't care for fish like penguins, and would rather have chicken nuggets or hot dogs to eat. After the vote, we used a hot dog toaster to make hot dogs for cooking- they were a big hit!
We're ready for February, when we will start a unit on the 5 senses!
