It’s hard to believe that we celebrated our last class party of the year. Time has really flown by. We know our students had a great time making crafts and playing games at their parties. We also had Hoops For Heart. We are so proud of our school for reaching our school goal of $3,000. We have been very busy in fourth grade for the month of February. In Math, we are finishing up Chapter 8 on Division. We think our students have come a long way from when we first started to learn about these concepts. In Science, we have been learning about Magnets. We have done some group activities to reinforce these concepts. Next, we will go to our 3rd region of the United States. We will learn about the Southeast region. In Writing, we just finished up our persuasive essay. The students wrote many convincing arguments. We will next move onto our literary essay unit, where we will focus on a character from a book of their choosing. In Reading, we have continued to read stories from Storyworks Magazine. We just finished reading a story called A Touch of Magic. We will next read So You Want to Be President?
