February has been full of fun activities for second grade. We had our 100th day of school. We celebrated Valentine’s Day with classroom parties, completed winter MAPS testing, and also participated in Jump Rope for Heart. The students continue to develop new concepts in math, as we finished our graphing unit. We have moved on to identifying place values to 1000 and 3 - digit addition with regrouping. We’ve been reviewing and improving our skills in writing with developing small moment narrative stories. In reading, we continue to review and develop skills, such as comparing and contrasting, finding text features, and identifying story elements. We look forward to having more fun in March.
