Wow! First graders are becoming amazing readers and writers! Their reading fluency and expression has improved so much since the beginning of the year. This month we performed reader’s theater plays and truly enjoyed hearing each other read our parts. Our phonics skills are now strong and our reading accuracy and comprehension has us reading and enjoying most of the books in our room. It is exciting to see the world of books open up to these new readers. They are also able to successfully participate in so many reading and writing activities.
