It’s so hard to believe that it is the end of the school year! We on the PTO board cannot thank you all enough! We had a very productive year and we could not have done any of that without the help of all of the families and the staff here at McKinley!!! Our students are very blessed to have all of you.
This school year we finally raised the funds to purchase our playground equipment for the little kids side! This is something we have been working on for a few years and it feels great to get it done. The equipment will be delivered in the next couple of months. It will be fun for all the kids to go by and check out the progress when it gets started. We will also post updates on Facebook.
An update on Alfano’s…when they reach out to us to let us know that the pizzas are ready, we will let all of the families know. Just remember, when its time to pick them up, one person from your family will pick up all of the pizzas in your order and it will be up to you to get them to the people that ordered from your child. You should have received a copy of your order form for reference.
Our BOGO book fair went very well! The kids seemed to enjoy getting their free books.
We will have a Celebration for 4th graders on May 24th. It's a fun little afternoon with pizza, yearbook signing and a dunk tank!
Field Day is coming up on May 28th. It is one of the most fun days for the kids! We will need lots of volunteers so be on the look out for information on how to sign up to help. We also have different lunch options this day. More information will be sent home about this.
At our PTO meeting in March, we had elections for the President and Secretary positions. Amanda Waddell will continue on as President and Amy Anderson was elected into the Secretary position.
Our last PTO meeting for the year will be held on May 8th in the gym. Remember that anyone is welcome to attend.
