Spring is in full swing here in Room 3! This month we explored all of the life and changes that the change in seasons can bring. We learned about how plants grow, explored different types of seeds, and even planted our own flowers. They are just now starting to sprout and we look forward to watching them grow. We have also started our bug and insect unit, and look forward to beginning the butterfly life cycle and watching caterpillars turn into butterflies in the upcoming weeks.
April was a busy month learning about bugs. We have classroom caterpillars and are anxiously awaiting them to turn into butterflies. This month we also took a field trip to the Discovery Children's Museum in Normal. We had a blast! We learned about farming, played in the "grocery store," climbed through the indoor play set, and painted on the glass wall. We have many fun activities planned for May, and can't wait to wrap up the school year with lots of fun!
